Position Summary

RSI is recruiting for a Document Production Manager who will manage the Production team personnel and workload in the Document Management (DM) group.

 

Job Title: Document Production Manager
Location(s): Various Locations
Status: Full-Time
FLSA: Exempt
Hiring Range: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year. (The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)

 

This position is required to travel less than 5% of the time.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule and balance assignments and workloads among team members.
  • Act as the first point-of-contact for team members who needs help or attention.
  • Act as the first point-of-contact for customers requesting special assignments and exceptional timelines.
  • Work with the Technical Editing lead and Document Management (DM) manager to meet team needs.
  • Work with other LM/LMS organizations as necessary.
  • Keep DM manager informed of day-to-day operations and hand problems “up” as appropriate.
  • Perform full suite of personnel activities, including conduct, coordinate, and document: personnel searches and hiring, performance evaluations, personnel development, training, and performance problems.
  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and gathers budget information for the Production team and assists DM manager with long-term budgets.
  • Aids in the development of solutions, systems, or processes with participation and buy-in of all stakeholders.
  • Coordinates implementation of new systems or processes, including announcements, training, and documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Communications, Business, or related technical discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Previous experience in personnel and team management, complex document work environment, day to day accounting and gathering budget information, and developing and implementing new systems and processes.

 

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Driver’s License

Essential Physical Requirements

Sedentary: Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
