Position Summary

RSI is recruiting for a Document Management Manager (DM) who is responsible for the day-to-day management of Document Management’s personnel, infrastructure, projects, budget, and delivery of services. The DM manager’s direct reports include the document production manager, the systems designer, the technical editing lead, and the technical editors. The DM manager reports to the Information Management senior manager.

FLSA: Exempt
Hiring Range: $120,000.00 to $135,000.00 per year. (The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)

 

This position is required to travel less than 5% of the time.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs full suite of personnel activities, including conduct, coordinate, and document: personnel searches and hiring, performance evaluations, personnel development, training, and performance problems.
  • Facilitates team communications to identify and solve problems, share solutions, maintain team documentation, run quality control systems, balance workloads, and clarify work assignments.
  • Keeps Information Management senior manager informed of day-to-day operations and hand problems “up” as appropriate.
  • Leads the creation of team systems, processes, and infrastructure (e.g., documents, webpages, user tools, etc.).
  • Uses continuous improvement to maintain team systems, processes, and infrastructure (e.g., documents, webpages, user tools, etc.).
  • Performs full suite of project activities, from development to completion.
  • Supports senior management and other teams with initiatives.
  • Performs full suite of budget activities.
  • Ensures Document Management services are high quality and on schedule.
  • Facilitates solutions for customers.
  • Aids in the development of solutions, systems, or processes with participation and buy-in of all stakeholders.
  • Coordinates implementation of new systems or processes, including announcements, training, and documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, technical communications, business, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in personnel and team management, complex document work environments, budgeting, problem solving, developing and implementing new systems and process. Specialized training in technical communication.

 

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Driver’s License

Essential Physical Requirements

Sedentary: Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
