Position Summary

RSI is recruiting for an Information Architect who will serve as the lead information architect for the planning, organizing, and disposition of all Legacy Management records and information. The position collaborates with business, information and data governance, enterprise review board, and information technology to support a sustainable and usable enterprise architecture.

Status: Full-Time
FLSA: Exempt
Hiring Range: $75,000.00 to $86,000.00 per year. (The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)

 

This position is not required to travel.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Legacy Management information architecture to include the thesaurus, taxonomies, and other controlled languages for all agency information assets.
  • Assess business and program systems while making recommendations to improve information lifecycle requirements to improve file management and retrievability of information.
  • Advise and work with the Information Governance Working Group, Data Governance Working Group, and Unified Governance Council on the proper utilization of Controlled Languages.
  • Perform records inventories and electronic records evaluations when needed to better understand the contextualization of records.
  • Interface with the client organization to provide guidance and direction on best practices, standards and requirements for managing information.
  • Maintain awareness of national activities, developments, innovations, and regulations in the discipline of data management, information governance, and records and information management.
  • Protect and identify sensitive information from unauthorized disclosure according to Government regulations and guidance.
  • Assist with identification of challenges and efficiencies related to job duties and suggest process improvements related to position or team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. Experience with government systems preferred.

 

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Records Manager (CRM), Certified Records Analyst (CRA), Information Governance Professional (IGP), or other RM certifications preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Provide advice and guidance on the organization and utilization of information assets, while ensuring practices adhere to recordkeeping standards.
  • Has the ability to work with broad objectives, with latitude, to determine the best way to accomplish tasks.
  • Ability to perform complex professional tasks both independently and as a team and to analyze and develop innovative solutions to problems.
  • Has the level of language skills, communications skills, reasoning ability, technical skills, and computer skills necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Understands the advanced principles, concepts, and techniques for managing information through all phases of the lifecycle.
  • Resolve situations daily, utilizing problem-solving skills, and provide follow-up to both customers and management.
  • Advise teams on the application of information management policies and procedures, including creation, use, retention and disposition of content.
  • Respond to ad hoc queries regarding information management within standard or negotiated timelines, while adhering to best practices for service quality.
  • Provide input and support in the development and maintenance of taxonomy and classification.
  • Provides superior professionalism and customer service.

Essential Physical Requirements

Sedentary: Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
