Position Summary
RSI is recruiting for an Information Governance Manager who will lead and advance the Information Governance Program across Legacy Management (LM) providing strategic direction and operational oversight across key domains, including information architecture, knowledge and taxonomy management, SharePoint governance, records lifecycle, and compliance. Leading a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, this role establishes enterprise standards, develops governance frameworks, and drives future capabilities to ensure information assets remain secure, accessible, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Hiring Range: $115,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year. (The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)
This position is required to travel less than 20% of the time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, coach, and develop Information Governance personnel supporting information governance, knowledge management, information architecture, taxonomy management, and business requirements functions.
- Establish team priorities, performance objectives, workload management processes, and professional development plans to ensure successful execution of program goals.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization's Information Governance Framework, including policies, standards, procedures, and governance processes.
- Lead Information Governance Working Groups, Governance Councils, and stakeholder forums to facilitate decision-making, resolve information management issues, and drive organizational alignment.
- Develop and oversee enterprise information lifecycle management practices, including information creation, classification, storage, access, retention, disposition, and preservation.
- Monitor and assess compliance with applicable DOE directives, federal regulations, records management requirements, privacy requirements, and organizational policies.
- Provide strategic oversight of enterprise taxonomy, metadata, content classification, and information architecture initiatives to improve information consistency and discoverability.
- Partner with business units and technology organizations to establish and maintain governance standards for SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and related information management platforms.
- Support enterprise migration initiatives by ensuring governance, metadata, retention, records management, and information architecture requirements are incorporated into planning and implementation activities.
- Develop and implement knowledge management strategies, processes, and tools that promote knowledge sharing, collaboration, organizational learning, and preservation of institutional knowledge.
- Conduct governance assessments, information risk evaluations, and maturity reviews to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Information Technology, Data Management, Cyber Security, Records Management, Disclosure/Litigation, and business stakeholders to ensure information assets remain secure, compliant, accessible, and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for Information Governance, Information Architecture, Knowledge Management, and related enterprise capabilities, identifying future opportunities for growth and organizational maturity.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, reduce information silos, eliminate redundant repositories, increase information accessibility, and enhance overall organizational efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Business Administration, Library Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- 7 years of relevant experience Information Governance / Knowledge Management / Records Management experience.
- 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience supporting highly regulated environments, government organizations, or federal contractors is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License
- Able to obtain certifications: Information Governance Professional (IGP), Certified Records Manager (CRM), Certified Information Professional (CIP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) but not required.

- Demonstrates ability to communicate complex information governance concepts to executive leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders.

- Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrates experience facilitating governance councils, stakeholder working groups, and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrates understanding of records retention, information compliance, privacy, cybersecurity, and information protection principles.
- Demonstrates the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and organizational maturity growth.
- Familiarity with MS365 governance capabilities, including SharePoint online, MS Teams, One Drive and MS Purview solutions for information protection, records management, data lifecycle management, compliance, e-Discovery, retention and information governance.

Essential Physical Requirements
