Position Summary
RSI, a Department of Energy Office of Legacy Management (LM) Support Contractor, is recruiting for an Intern to assist with environmental research and field activities being conducted under the Applied Studies and Technology Educational Collaboration initiative at LM sites. The intern is needed to support the evaluation of background and upgradient sources of emerging contaminants in the areas surrounding the Rocky Flats Site, a former nuclear weapons component manufacturing facility that underwent a $7 billion cleanup ending in 2005. The Intern will obtain environmental data associated with groundwater, surface water, atmospheric deposition, and other relevant sources to support data analytics at Rocky Flats. The Intern will develop and present an internal report that provides a summary of the data and compares and contrasts those data with existing Rocky Flats data.

This position is required to travel 0% of the time and may require fieldwork within 35 miles of the office up to 20% of the time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience
Completion of at least 26 credit hours towards an undergraduate degree in science such as Geology, Geochemistry, Hydrogeology, Chemistry, or a related field.
No relevant experience is necessary.

Essential Physical Requirements
