Position Summary

RSI is recruiting for a Physical Security and Asset Management Operations Specialist who will act as the primary physical security system subject matter expert (SME) and to support asset management operations.

 

Job Title: Physical Security and Asset Management Operations Specialist

Location(s): Westminster, CO

Status: Full-Time

FLSA: Exempt

Hiring Range: $79,000.00 – 82,000.00 per year. (The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)

 

This position is required to travel 10-25% of the time.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the implementation and enforcement of Physical Security procedures and Facility Management operations throughout the LM Complex.
  • Learn the operational and technical aspect of each Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Physical Access Control System (PACS), and Video Assessment and Surveillance System (VASS) operating software system and hardware to become a SME for LMS with these systems.
  • Overseeing the installation, maintenance, and testing of the IDS, PACS, and VASS throughout the LM Complex and ensure systems are operated within the requirements.
  • Ensure extended maintenance agreements for all security systems (currently 10) are in place and act as the primary point of contact for the vendor.
  • Oversee the LMS Lock and Key program
  • Support Asset Management operations to include facility maintenance.
  • Oversee and ensure that all work conducted by the contractor, subcontractor, and vendor is authorized and approved through Safety & Health and Procurement procedures.
  • Embrace and promote DOE and LMS Safety & Health culture throughout the LM Complex.
  • Assist the Fleet Management and Personal Property organizations, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience

 

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • PSP certification is preferred but not required if degree is in Physical Security related field.

 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Solid communication skills.
  • Interpret and understand government regulations and mandates for operational and reporting purposes.
  • Working knowledge of Intercom Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Physical Access Control Systems, and Video Assessment and Surveillance Systems preferred.
  • Data Analysis - Ability to digest and represent large amounts of data accurately and completely
  • Understanding safety issues that might happen in relation to physical security and facilities.
  • Basic understanding of Facility Operations
  • Ability to interact with the internal and external clients on various related issues.
  • Language, mathematical, and computer skills.
  • Proficient Technical writing ability.

Essential Physical Requirements 

Medium: Work involves moving objects by exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or an above-negligible amount and up to 10 pounds constantly. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
