Position Summary
RSI is recruiting for a Senior NEPA Project Manager who will Support the DOE Office of Legacy Management (LM) by executing its National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements and complying with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This includes providing project management, technical document review, research and development analysis support, facilitation services and meeting support for all NEPA and environmental requirements. Strong communication skills, a comprehensive understanding of required laws and processes, and creative problem-solving acumen are essential for success in this role.
Successful Candidate must possess extensive expertise as a NEPA practitioner, particularly in the development and management of Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), Environmental Assessments (EAs), and Supplemental Analyses. Candidate must have a strong understanding of various laws and regulations, including the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Water Act, the National Historic Preservation Act, the Archeological Resources Protection Act, and other applicable laws, regulations, Executive Orders, and agency requirements. Experience in mining or land management operations is highly desirable.

Hiring Range: $100,000.00-$115,000.00 per year. (The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)
This position is required to travel less than 10% of the time.

Light: Work involves moving objects by exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job/occupation is rated for light work when it requires (1) a significant degree of walking or standing, (2) mostly sitting while pushing or pulling arm or leg controls, or (3) working when the weight of the materials is negligible. (The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production-rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible).
