Position Summary
RSI is recruiting for a Surface Water Field Lead who will be responsible for implementation of Rocky Flats Site (RFS) specific sampling programs. The position involves implementation of scope under limited supervision.

Status: Full-Time
FLSA: Exempt
Hiring Range: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year. (The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)
This position is required to travel less than 10% of the time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support RFS Surface Water Lead with environmental monitoring work scope. This includes development and implementation of sample plans for surface water sampling, sample preparation lab operations including shipping of samples. Assist in development and implementation of work control documents, data entry, review, and reporting.
- Support RFS Surface Water Lead with long-term sampling (LTS) plan work scope. This includes reporting and management of institutional controls especially those related to surface water.
- Maintain and repair environmental monitoring tools, equipment, and instruments to ensure proper function.
- Conduct groundskeeping as needed to ensure safe access to field locations.
- Keep current with required training and cross train to support RFS Site Sampling and Operations and Maintenance.
- Manage records in accordance with Information Management requirements.
- Support data analysis and reporting as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in science or related field. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
- No years or experience required. 2 years of experience is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License.
- No professional certification required.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Technical expertise and experience or the ability to quickly understand site environmental monitoring equipment and sampling, and data management plans and procedures.
- Ability to quickly understand site institutional controls, LTS plans and procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Ability to quickly understand sampling plans and procedures.
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Essential Physical Requirements
Medium: Work involves moving objects by exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or an above-negligible amount and up to 10 pounds constantly. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
