Position Summary
RSI is currently recruiting for a Senior Advisor to support ongoing radiological environmental projects. The Senior Advisor will be focused on providing high-level technical consulting and guidance to project teams and leadership, particularly in support of technical execution and regulatory interface.
This is a remote, part-time casual position working on an on-call basis, with the potential for occasional travel to project sites as needed. The target start date is as soon as possible, and the pay range for this role is $100–$125 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Primary Responsibilities
The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical expert with extensive experience in radiological environmental remediation and regulatory engagement. Responsibilities include:
- Provide senior-level consulting support on radiological environmental projects
- Support the Technical Manager in execution, documentation, presentation, and defense of technical project aspects
- Prepare and review technical documents for government clients and state/federal regulators
- Develop and review responses to client and regulate comments, questions, and requests for information
- Consult with project management and clients regarding technical execution and regulatory strategy
- Participate in technical discussions and presentations as needed
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., environmental science, health physics, engineering, or related discipline)
- Twenty (20) + years of experience in radiological environmental remediation
- Extensive experience working with state and federal government clients and regulatory agencies
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
Job Knowledge/Qualifications
- Proven experience supporting radiological environmental projects in highly regulated environments
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
- Ability to review, interpret, and develop complex technical documentation
- Strong communication and advisory skills with the ability to influence technical direction
- Ability to work independently in a remote, on-call capacity
- High level of professionalism and responsiveness
- Work may be required outside normal business hours and sometimes on short notice
- Must be willing and able to travel, as needed
