Position Summary

RSI is currently recruiting for a DBA Laborer. The DBA Laborer will perform a wide range of physical labor tasks in support of the construction goals throughout the project site. The position is located in San Francisco, CA on the former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. 
Pay starts at $35.25.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled workers as assigned. This may include jobs such as demolition, carrying lumber, or construction.
  • Unload materials that are delivered such as lumber or bags of cement and distribute them to appropriate location as identified by supervisor, project plans, or specifications.
  • Prepare layout area where construction will take place by properly measuring, marking, or recording openings or distances.
  • Prepare tools and materials for skilled workers such as mixing cement or preparing ground surfaces for excavation and trenching.
  • Clean and prepare specific areas of jobsite as assigned. This may include digging trenches; erecting scaffolding; cleaning up rubble, debris, and trash; or removing hazardous materials.
  • Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools.
  • Directs traffic near, in, or around work zones.
  • Spot equipment operator to assist with alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
  • Cleans jobsite at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment are properly stored.
  • Stockpile management to include laying out poly sheeting and covering stockpiles with poly sheeting or spraying soil binder for storm water management protection
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Job Knowledge/Qualifications

  • Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions.
  • Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change.
  • GPS Survey experience preferred

 

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • 40HR HAZWOPER/8HR Refresher

 

Clearance and Health Regiments

  • Criminal Background Check
  • Pre-placement Drug Screening
  • 40HR HAZWOPER Physical
