Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Location(s): Westminster

Hiring Range: $54K-$83K/yr. (Depending on education, experience, and location)

Status: Full-Time

FLSA: Exempt

RSI EnTech, LLC is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Specialist to provide quality assurance support across multiple Legacy Management organizations. This position may be required to travel at least 10% of the time.

 

Primary responsibilities and essential functions:

  • Conduct management and independent assessments
  • Administer the electronic assessment and issue management system
  • Support individuals at all levels of the LMS organization to implement quality assurance requirements
  • Support the requirements management process.

 

Work experience, skills, and capabilities needed:

  • Working knowledge of electronic issue tracking systems or similar electronic database solutions.
  • Experience conducting compliance audits or assessments.
  • Excellence in oral and written communication, problem solving, analytical and team building skills.

 

Technical knowledge, certifications/licenses, and software proficiency required:

  • Proficiency in the use of a personal computer and Microsoft® Word software.

Additional desired qualifications:

  • Certified Lead Assessor/Auditor
  • Database development Experience

 

Required Education and Years of Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental/Engineering/Quality or related field with less than five years related experience.  

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work Category – The employee exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch or feel, and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

 

Quality Assurance:

The achievement of quality in LM activities and products requires establishment of principles, requirements, practices, and methods for integrating quality into the daily operations of programs and projects. Identify and implement industry standard quality assurance practices and methods to include surveillance activities, assessments (e.g. independent and management used to meet audit and assessment requirements identified in all applicable DOE orders), cause analysis, trending, performance metrics, cause analysis, and corrective action planning, based on the requirements of DOE Order 414.1, Quality Assurance, and uses the International Organization for Standardization 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems as international consensus standard to manage tools to ensure quality objectives are achieved throughout LM’s technical, administrative, and operational functions. Provide assistance in oversight activities and leverage a contractor assurance system to provide reasonable assurance that operations and management controls are effective and efficient and report findings. Establish and maintain a suspect/counterfeit items identification and prevention program for DOE-LM supply chain.
